In the world of cycling and philanthropy, few stories are as compelling as that of Ian McMahon. A former professional footballer and businessman, Ian is embarking on a remarkable journey to make a significant impact. In June 2024, Ian will be tackling The Tour 21 on behalf of Cure Leukaemia, alongside 24 amateur cyclists as they look to complete the full Tour de France route one week ahead of the professionals.
As a proud supporter and partner, Wattbike is thrilled to share Ian's story, highlighting his commitment, the challenge ahead, and how you can be part of this incredible adventure.
Ian's goal is not just to complete the tour but to contribute significantly to the cause. He has pledged to raise a minimum of £30,000 towards the event's £1 million target. This commitment speaks volumes about his dedication to making a difference. Through his Just Giving page, Ian is inviting us all to be part of this journey, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a cause that transcends the sport itself.
The Tour 21 is more than just a cycling event; it's a movement towards change, supporting vital charity work. Ian's participation is not just a test of physical endurance but a testament to his passion for the cause.
"Powered by the precision and innovation of the Wattbike Atom, my Tour 21 journey for Cure Leukaemia transcends the ordinary, turning every pedal stroke into a beacon of hope. Together, we ride towards a future free from Leukaemia. The Atom has been a game-changer in my training regime. " Ian McMahon, Wattbiker
Ian is inspiring us not just in his garage, where he is currently training on the Wattbike Atom, but in our hearts as well. His story is a powerful reminder of the impact one individual can have when they combine their passion with a purpose.
Wattbike is honoured to support Ian in his inspiring journey. For more information on how you can support Ian, please visit his Just Giving page, and follow his blog for updates on his journey.
